Terms of Service

These terms form an agreement between you and Global Payments Consultants Ltd, United Kingdom, operator of Cumbria Works. By using the site, posting a vacancy or buying a listing you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Browsing and searching vacancies is free. Some listings link to an employer's own application process on a third-party site; those sites are outside our control and have their own terms. You must give accurate information in any application and must not submit another person's data as your own.

• You must be authorised to advertise on behalf of the organisation named in the listing, and keep your account credentials secure.
• Every vacancy is reviewed before publication. We may decline, edit for formatting, or remove a listing that is inaccurate, misleading, discriminatory, unlawful, a duplicate, or not a genuine vacancy relevant to the sector this board serves.
• Standard listings are published for 30 days from the date they go live, unless a different duration is stated at purchase.
• You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of your listing content and for handling applicants' personal data lawfully once it reaches you.
• Listings must not be used to advertise paid-for training, unpaid work presented as employment, or to harvest candidate data.

• Prices are shown in GBP before you pay and include VAT where applicable.
• Payment is taken through PayPal. We do not receive or store your card details.
• Payment confirms the order; the listing goes live once it has passed review.
• A receipt is emailed to the billing address you provide at checkout.
• Promotional offers, including any free first listing, are limited to one per employer and may be withdrawn at any time.

If we decline or cannot publish a paid listing, we refund the fee in full. If we remove a live listing for breach of these terms, no refund is due. Otherwise, because publication begins as soon as a listing is approved, fees for a published listing are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. Some vacancies shown on the site are sourced from public job feeds, including Adzuna. We summarise these listings and link to the original advertiser. We do not control their content, availability or accuracy, and applications made through them are handled by the advertiser.

• Do not scrape, bulk-download or resell listings or candidate data from the site.
• Do not attempt to bypass authentication, access other users' accounts, or interfere with the site's operation or security.
• Do not upload malicious code or content that infringes another party's rights.

We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we may change or withdraw features. We do not guarantee any number of applications, views or hires from a listing.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, business, goodwill or data, and our total liability for any claim relating to a listing is limited to the amount you paid for that listing.

Our handling of personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy. Employers who receive applicant data through the site act as controllers of that data and must handle it in line with UK GDPR.

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the last review, and continued use after a change means acceptance. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
