Cookie Notice
What Cumbria Works stores on your device, why, and how to control it.

What we use
We keep this deliberately minimal. Cumbria Works uses only cookies and local storage that are strictly necessary to run the site. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not share browsing data with advertising networks.
Strictly necessary
- Sign-in session — set by our authentication provider when you log in as an employer or admin, so you stay signed in between pages. Cleared when you sign out.
- Cookie preference — records that you have seen and answered the cookie banner, so it is not shown again. Stored in your browser for 12 months.
- Security and load balancing — set by our hosting platform to serve pages and protect against abuse.
These do not need consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations because the site cannot work without them.
Measurement
We count how many times each vacancy page is viewed so employers can see the performance of their listing. This is stored server-side against a non-reversible hash rather than a cookie or an IP address, and it is not used to build a profile of you.
Optional cookies
We currently set no analytics, marketing or third-party tracking cookies. If that changes, we will ask for your consent through the banner before any optional cookie is set, and this page will be updated first.
Third-party pages
When you pay for a listing, PayPal's checkout is provided by PayPal and sets its own cookies under its own notice. Where a vacancy links to an employer's own application site, that site's cookie practices apply.
Controlling cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies above will stop you signing in or posting a vacancy. You can also clear this site's stored data in your browser to see the cookie banner again.
For everything else about your data, see our Privacy Policy, or email privacy@nuclear-jobs.co.uk.
