NDA grant funding could help local organisations turn broad socio-economic ambitions into practical routes towards work. For Cumbria, the important question is not simply which courses could receive support, but whether proposed activity connects residents with the skills employers are recruiting for now.

From grant guidance to employment outcomes

Organisations considering an application should start with the current NDA socio-economic grant guidance, including its eligibility rules, geographic scope, assessment criteria and treatment of costs. These details can change, so applicants should not assume that a previous award or a generally worthwhile training idea will qualify.

From a jobs perspective, a strong proposal should be able to explain a clear sequence:
